ORDINANCE NO. __-14

AN ORDINANCE TO CREATE A SPECIAL FUND DESIGNATED THE POLICE 
OFFICER OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT FUND TO ALLOW POLICE OFFICERS TO 
PURCHASE EQUIPMENT AUTHORIZED BY THE CHIEF OF POLICE FOR USE ON 
DUTY AND TO AUTHORIZE A TRANSFER OF $5,000 FROM THE 
UNENCUMBERED GENERAL FUND TO THE POLICE OFFICER EQUIPMENT 
FUND. 

 

Whereas, The City has a policy of allowing Police Officers to purchase optional 
equipment with City Funds for use on duty and to repay the City over a twelve month period, 
and 

 

Whereas, A special fund designated the Police Officer Optional Equipment Fund is 
needed to simplify accounting for this program. 

 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
BEXLEY, OHIO: 

 

Section 1. That a special fund designated the Police Officer Optional Equipment 
Fund is hereby created. 

 

Section 2. That a transfer of $5,000 from the unencumbered General Fund to the 
Police Officer Optional Equipment Fund is hereby authorized. 

 

Section 3. That this ordinance shall go into effect and be in force from and 

after the earliest period allowed by law.
